Rumors are swirling that Ellen DeGeneres will likely retire following the recent workplace bullying scandal.

A source tells OK Magazine,

With Ellen’s scandal, Kristen’s name tops the short list. Kristen has been quietly honing her hosting skills. Even better for Warner Bros., everyone in Hollywood loves Kristin. They have been grooming her as the replacement. She is definitely in front of James Corden. They want a woman and no-one is funnier or more relatable than Kristen.

Rumors of James Corden taking Ellen's spot have been shot down by a source for the Daily Mail saying that he is under contract with CBS and is not in consideration for the job.  Hands down, one of the most entertaining moments in the history of the Ellen show was the Kristen Bell Sloth Meltdown moment in 2012.

Kristen Bell was born and raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan.  Bell, who just celebrated her 40th birthday on July, 18th, graduated high school at Shrine Catholic School in Royal Oak in 1998 according to sources on her wikipedia page.

Insider.com tells us that Kristen Bell is now married to another Michigan native turned Hollywood superstar, Dax Shepard.  They first met in 2007.  Aside from a couple bumps in the road they've been together ever since.  After getting engaged multiple times, the couple tied the know in 2013 and now have two daughters.

It's important to keep in mind that as of Tuesday, August 4th, 2020, Ellen has not stepped down and the Warner Brothers investigation continues.  Ellen has clearly done a lot for many of her viewers and has made Warner Brothers a ton of money.  Only time will tell if DeGeneres can weather this storm.
