Wisconsin Wants People To Have Booze With Their Breakfast Cheese
Consider this the legalization of “kegs and eggs.” The Wisconsin Assembly is scheduled to vote on a bill that would allow beer and liquor sales to begin at 6 a.m. The current law prohibits the sale of liquor before 8 a.m.
This law will only pertain to stores that hold licenses allowing for off-premise consumption — mainly grocery and liquor stores. The proposal will not change the required end time for liquor sales which is 9 p.m. for liquor and midnight for beer.
This leaves only six hours in a day that a resident of the state can’t buy some type of alcoholic beverage. Just enough time to sober up and realize they have been walking around all day with a slice of cheese on their head.
