Woman Discovered Laying Alongside I-69 In Attica Township After Sinking Car In Pond

A 25-year-old woman managed to escape through the rear driver's side window of her Honda Civic and crawl 100 feet to the edge of I-69 after running off the expressway down an embankment and into a pond last Tuesday near Winslow Road. She was taken to the hospital, treated and released for an earlier diabetic event. Two car seats were found in the back seat but fortunately her three children were staying with relatives.
