Michigan Legend And Kalamazoo Distributor Team Up For A Whiskey

You start reading Charles Woodson's bio and it's like, what hasn't he been successful at? A two-way player at Michigan, he was so good he won the Heisman Trophy as the nation's best collegiate football player. He was one of the leaders on Michigan's last (half) national championship team. As an Oakland Raider, he tackled former teammate Tom Brady, forced a fumble that wasn't called and was inadvertently responsible for what's known as the "Tuck Rule". Oh, after his storied pro career, in 2021 he was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

So, new mountains to climb, new worlds to conquer. While playing in Oakland, that's near Napa Valley, Woodson developed his interested in wine and spirits, and already has Charles Woodson Wines Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Now he's launching Woodson Bourbon Whiskey. That whiskey is aged in the same barrels as the Cabernet.

Michigan will be the first state to offer Woodson Bourbon Whiskey to retailers and each 750mL bottle will be available for $39.99 and sure to stick out on the shelf with the iconic maize and blue label, perfect for any sports and spirits fan. Imperial started out right after Prohibition ended in the 1930's. The Cekola family bought it in 1984, and have taken it to a top 10 distributor in the state.
