If you have way too much Halloween candy left over, you can donate it to American Troops or First Responders now.

Admit it, you grab a fun sized Milky Way every time you walk by the Halloween Candy bowl in the kitchen. There's nothing wrong with it, until you realize that 37 fun sized bars is equal to a lot of full size bars! You can't throw it away, because your kids will freak, but if you keep it, you'll just keep eating it.

So what do you do? Easy, donate it!

Operation Gratitude has been taking donated candy since 2003, and sending it to troops serving overseas.

You can find out if there is a donation center near you by entering your zip code here. If there's not a donation center near you, then you can ship the candy directly to them. Make sure you read through the Do's & Do Not's of shipping candy before you send.

If you'd like to keep the candy local, then many food banks will also accept candy donations, but you should definitely call first.

No matter what you do, find a way to get the fun sized candy out of your reach. Fun sized is only fun when you eat one . . . and nobody in the world is only eating one.

If you know of other organizations taking candy donations, please let us know about them in the comments below.
