17 Years Ago Ronnie Lane Loses His Fight With Multiple Sclerosis
One my favorite rock and roll musicians passed away on this day back in 1997. Ronnie Lane, bass player for the Small Faces and, later, the Faces, died at his home in Colorado. Ronnie was only 51 and had an ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis since 1977.
From 1968, here’s Ronnie along with Steve Marriott (who died in a house fire in 1991), Ian McLaglan and Kenny Jones. The Small Faces doing “Itchycoo Park”.
