Ian Gillan’s vocal work with Deep Purple was known for its high-pitched screams and falsettos and a very wide vocal range. In 1983 Ian was invited to join Black Sabbath replacing Ronnie James Dio. It ends up that Mr. Gillian became dissatisfied, especially with the final mix of Born Again and the album cover featuring a demonic-looking baby, he left in 1984. Possibly some could see this as being a bad career move.
