Uptown Reinvestment Corp. has signed a deal and is planning to spend an estimated $21 million to give the downtown Flint theatre a new face lift.

At one time the Flint Capitol building was a landmark for Downtown Flint. For over 20 years the building has been vacant, but now a reinvestment group is said to have the theatre up and running in 2 years.

Acts like AC/DC, Ray Charles and more have played at the 2,000 seat theatre, and plans are now being set to bring the legendary venue back to life. The Farah Family has already invested more than $1 million into the Capitol, and states that the theatre is one of the nicest unrestored theaters in America.
