‘Anger Management’: FX Airing 45 New Episodes A Year

Anger Management Season 2 45 Episodes
FX

Last year, we were astonished by the news that FX had picked up Charlie Sheen‘s contract option for an additional 90 episodes of ‘Anger Management‘ to follow the first 10, and now the network has dropped another bombshell. Rather than follow the traditional season format, or space out its generous order, the network will move full steam ahead with a massive, nigh-uninterrupted ‘Anger Management’ run over the next two years. Find out how much ‘Anger Management’ is coming your way inside!

When FX and Charlie Sheen riffed on the actor’s ‘Two and a Half Men‘ firing by proving TV wouldn’t be rid of him yet, they weren’t kidding. Not only did FX pick up ‘Anger Management’s’ option for an additional 90 episodes, but the network plans to air 45 new episodes a year, only breaking for holidays and sports events rather than follow a seasonal structure.

FX President John Landgraf announced the news from the Television Critics Association press tour panel, also explaining the addition of Charlie’s father Martin Sheen as a series regular. “I thought it would be a better series if it was also a multi-generational series,” said the network head.

‘Anger Management’ will return on January 17 with two all-new episodes, but what say you? Are you excited to see the Ma-Sheen crank out 45 episodes a year until 2015? Would you prefer a more traditional format to the series? Sound off in the comments!
