Set to be directed by Scott Derrickson, the film is currently scheduled for a 2016 release date, so it’s about time that we started hearing a little more about who else will be joining Cumberbatch as the project heads closer to production—like Chiwetel Ejiofor, who is reportedly in talks for a role.

It looks like ‘Suicide Squad’ is still searching for its Rick Flagg. Following Tom Hardy’s departure from Warner Bros. upcoming DC super villain project, Jake Gyllenhaal was being eyed to take over. But the actor has basically said “Nah, bro, I’m good” and passed on the film as well. With David Ayer’s film hitting the big screen in 2016, WB still has a little time to cast the central role.

Sony Officially Cancels the Planned Christmas Release of ‘The Interview’
Following today’s release of a message sent from the mysterious group responsible for the massive Sony hack, the company has now informed theater owners that they can opt out of screening ‘The Interview’ if they are concerned about the terrorist threat. Although the Department of Homeland Security responded by saying they could find “no credible info” on planned attacks, Sony has decided to place the decision to screen the film in the hands of theater executives.
