I've wanted to do radio since I was a little kid. I joined the staff at 105-FM WWCK in 1977 and stayed until we were all fired in 1988. I then joined Cars 108 WCRZ for ONE NIGHT in 1989. Please don't remind J. Patrick of this. I've worked at various stations ever since, currently afternoons on US1031 WQUS. I also do photography. Check it out on jeffholbrook.com.

Horror Star Dwight Frye Remembered on Today’s Vault
While Dwight Frye never attained the dizzying heights of stardom that his fellow actors Boris Karloff or Bela Lugosi did, those old 1930's black & white Universal horror movies would not have worked that well without him. Frye was a little guy that usually played the "Igor" type characters or the creepy grave robber hidden in the shadows. ...

Let's get deeper into their catalog with a fan fave from 1974, Woman Of The World, which is a track that Tyler wrote before Aerosmith even existed...

Haunted House Rock – Today’s Spooky Vinyl Vault!
The self titled Genesis album in 1983 was one of 3 during the 1980s that cemented the band in rock history as being one of the decades biggest, oddly enough, for a band who's beginnings dated back to the 60's. 'Abacab' in 1981 and 'Invisible Touch' in 1986 rounded out the trio...

Welcome To The Boomtown – Today’s Vinyl Vault
An obscure memory I'm sure, David & David, from 1986? I remember it being a bit more intelligent than most moronic fare of the day, and having very cool lead guitar work. These two were session guys that made one album, which became a hit that year due to the fact that radio loved it. ...
