MLive says Lapeer County Sheriff's deputies got the suicidal gunman to come down off a roof of a Goodland Township home. Police had been called around 3 a.m. on Friday morning. The caller said the man was exhibiting suicidal tendencies and may have shot himself. When police arrived, the man took to the roof and fired shots from his handgun. No fire was returned and police were able to get the man to come down. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries - a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg. The incident remains under investigation.
