Lapeer is home to many talented folks; tomorrow night the PIX Theatre will showcase just a few. Guitars, banjos, anything with a string will be featured along with some fantastic vocal talent, too. This promises to be a fun filled evening of family entertainment. The concert gets underway at 7:30, Saturday night (2/22), at The PIX.

Make plans this Saturday night (2/21), to support a great music program for the youth in  our neighborhood. The Young Musicians Community and the band 3rd Degree Burns will be presenting a night full of great classic rock & roll at Lapeer High School. Doors open at 6:30pm , the concert runs from 7 until 10pm. and admission is only $5.

The Detroit Red Wings will be taking on The Flint Generals in fun filled alumni game this Friday night at Perani Arena and Event Center. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit United Way of Genesee County and The Old Newsboys of Flint.

Don't forget about the Heat Up Lapeer Polish Dinner tomorrow (2/15), being put on by The Lapeer Knights of Columbus to benefit St. Vincent de Paul Society. Proceeds will aid Lapeer area families with utility needs this winter. The dinner goes from 1:30 pm to 6 pm at the Bishop Kelly Catholic School Community room. Now through February 28th, Gallery 194 presents the Chatfield Art Show. Student work from the Chatfield School will be on display until Saturday, February 28. Each season brings its own form of beauty at Seven Ponds Nature Center. Greet the Snow Moon of February while walking the center’s snow-covered trails tonight  (2/7) from 7 PM to 9 PM. Look and listen for signs of wildlife along the way and end your walk around a cozy fire. The fee for this program is $5 per person, $3 for members.

It’s Friday Night (2/6),and time for another delicious Lapeer V.F.W. Fish Fry. Doors open at 5pm and goes until 8pm (or gone). Money raised from the dinner goes to help area veterans. The price is $9 dine in or carry out, kids under 12 - $5.

The band Third Degree Burns, part of the Young Musician's Community is a program that gives high school and middle school students the opportunity to learn to play in a rock band. Gary Burns organized the program about 10 years ago to give kids the opportunity to experience and learn to play good, classic rock music as a band, without all the negative influences.

Tonight (1/31), back by popular demand at The PIX Theatre it’s another fun filled evening of celebrating popular songs from Broadway musicals. Come and hear music from American musicals.

Every Sunday a good time and great deals are waiting for you at the Lapeer Center Building Flea Market. With 75 booths inside and outside there’s a good chance you’ll find something that catches your eye at great price. The Flea Market opens up at 8 am and runs until 3 pm. Admission is free.
