The Columbiaville Days festival is taking place today through Sunday.  The fun will begin at 5 p.m. with an opening ceremony, followed by the games, carnival rides and vendor booths for children and adults to enjoy. At 6 p.m. there will be a children's  parade, along with a “Minute to Win It” contest. The Minute to Win It contest will begin at 5:30 p.m. for contestants ages 15 and under, and those 16 and older will compete at 6 p.m.

On Saturday the events are start at 9 a.m. A car and bike show will run from 9 a.m. until noon. Check out the cutest baby contest at 10 a.m., inflatables, carnival rides and tours of the new community center throughout the day.  The big parade gets underway at noon. After the parade enjoy the greased pig chase, a pizza eating contest, and the Kids Stinkiest Tennis Shoe competition. The Fright Factor event will begin at 2 p.m. and a strongman demonstration at 3 p.m. Saturday comes to close with a boat parade and large fireworks display over the Halloway Reservoir.

On Sunday, Columbiaville Days will feature a dog show at noon, a horseshoe tournament at 1 p.m., along with the fourth annual Family Tug of War competition.
