Early Beatles – Today’s Vinyl Vault

One from the fab four today that dates back to 1964 and went unreleased for years, finally showing up on the Anthology 1 CD set in 1995.  Leave My Kitten Alone is a great example of the shapes of things to come.  Not the mop top pop that you might think of from those early years, this is heavier, for 1964, and shows a very young band breaking out of the mold that many “boss types” had them in.  It’s fun and rowdy, with that strained Lennon vocal he’d come to use more and more in the future.  Today at 5:20pm.  Out of town?  Listen live on-line.
