Eddie Van Halen's in a giving mood. The Van Halen rocker just donated 75 electric guitars from his personal collection to a number of schools in Los Angeles. Eddie teamed up with the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation to distribute the guitars to schools lacking instruments for their music programs.  The guitarist says it's the least he could do in these economically-challenged times, recalling how music kept him off the streets and out of trouble as a youngster.  He said in a statement, "If I can help a kid discover a liking, or even a passion for music in their life, then that's a wonderful thing."  Eddie adds, "Music has provided a good life for me and hopefully it can help make life better for others with this donation."
