Additional Information

Great grandstand entertainment, rides, circus performances and animal exhibits visitors know well will be joined by some new additions to the fair like two concerts instead of one and a $180,000 bleacher expansion program that's more accessible for handicapped patrons.
Under a tent-turned-alligator pond, patrons can get up close and personal with about 20 alligators lounging around. There's also tortoises, lizards and other reptiles.
Adventurous visitors will get the opportunity to touch, though. Some tortoises and alligators separate from the pond can be petted or held.
The traditional circus show performs three times daily. Elephants, tigers, camels, lions and acrobats, all performing unusual feats and it's never the same show twice.
Grandstand entertainment will return for another year, featuring the Tractor Pull, Figure 8 race, Bump N' Run, Motocross, Demolition Derby and more.
Other attractions include the Motorcycle Thrill Show (three times daily), petting zoo and the Miracle of Life experience.
The Miracle of Life experience every day at the Eastern Michigan Fair. Cows and pigs have been bred to give birth during this specific week in August. Visitors to the exhibit can witness day-old calves, little piglets and chicks that have just hatched, as well as actual births or hatchings.
The $15 admission fee covers admission to all parts of the fair, including shows, concerts and rides in the fairgrounds. Parking is free.
