Everything You Need to Know to Ring in the New Year at the 2017 Flinttown Countdown
New Year’s Eve is this Saturday, if you are ringing it in with us at the 2017 Flinttown Countdown here is what you can expect.
The 2017 Flinttown Countdown is this Saturday, December 31st at the Flint Farmers’ Market. We wanted to answer all the questions we have been getting in one place, so here it is.
What time does it start? Doors at the Flint Farmers’ Market open at 8pm. All entertainment begins at 9pm.
What kind of entertainment will be there? Reverend Right Time and the First Cuzins of Funk will be in the Ramsdell room with DJ Stixx, If you want to dance 2016 away, DJ Tron and DJ Peter McFray will be in the atrium. If you want to watch the Fiesta Bowl we will have it on in the Ramsdell room.
Can I buy food and drinks? Of course you can! We will have a full bar in the atrium and a full bar in the Ramsdell room for General Admission guests. If you are VIP you can choose from those two, or the full bar inside Market Tap upstairs. Drink prices are as follows: wine and liquor – $5, Bud Light – $3, Dirty Blonde – $4, Two Hearted Ale – $5.
We have food for sale from B-Dogs, MaMang, and Domino’s at Miller and Ballenger.
What is the difference between VIP and General Admission? General Admission tickets are $35 and include access to both areas of entertainment, free coat check, firework viewing from the patio in front of the main entrance to the Farmers’ Market.
VIP tickets are $50 and include appetizers from Blackstones from 9-11p, a champagne toast at Midnight, access to the upper balcony during the event, access to the balcony outside of Market Tap to watch the fireworks at Midnight, both areas of entertainment during the event, and a free coat check.
How old do you have to be to attend? This event is for those 21 and older only
Will there be security there? Yes, we have hired DM Burr Security for the entire night, they will be checking bags at the entrance and patrolling the parking lot throughout the event.
Where can I park? You can park for free in the Flint Farmers’ Market parking lot, if that lot fills up you can park in these additional lots.
It’s going to be chilly that night, what can I do with my coat? We have free coat check available for you.
Where can I get tickets? You can purchase tickets at the Flint Farmers’ Market in the Friends of the Market booth on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday during regular market hours, or online here. Tickets will be available at the door for $35 for general admission tickets. VIP will NOT be available at the door.
