Flint Woman Competes On ‘Jeopardy!’

Rose Adams’ Facebook Page

It’s amazing how many people from the Flint area have made their way on to TV through game shows and reality shows. U of M Flint student, Chad Mosher, appeared on ‘Million Dollar Password‘ in 2008.  Becky Jiminez won big on ‘The Price Is Right’ in 2011. Kyle Dunbar from Almighty Tattoo was on ‘Ink Master’ earlier this year. And two people in our building, Tony LaBrie and George McIntyre from our sister stations, have both appeared on Wife Swap.

Tonight the list of Flint residents appearing on TV will include one more person. Her name is Rose Adams, and she will be one of three competitors on Jeopardy! Life-long fan of the popular game show, Adams was convinced by her coworker to try to get on the show. She took an online test in January, and months later was notified that she had been selected to see a live taping of the show. She had an in-person audition in Detroit this past July, and then went to California to film her episode on September 11.

In a recent interview, Rose said,

“Walking in the studio was so amazing! It was an experience, I can’t believe I did it.”

Rose Adams will appear on Jeopardy! tonight at 7:00pm on WNEM-TV 5! All of us wish you the best of luck, Rose! Show ‘em what you’ve got!!
