Get Ready To Help Out The Birds

Seven Ponds Nature Center in Dryden is holding its annual “Birdseed Saturday” on October 19th. A fun-filled day of activities for all ages. There will be a variety of bird-themed programs scheduled.

The event also provides visitors with an opportunity to purchase birdseed, bird-feeders, and other nature items at a discounted rate. All visitors will receive a 10% discount during the sale. Members of Seven Ponds receive a 20% discount. Several kinds of birdseed will be available, including sunflower, thistle, and a birdseed mix. The birdseed mix is blended especially for the nature center and contains the seed types best liked by the birds. Bird feeders to attract many different kinds of birds to the home feeding station will also be available.

The center's gift shop will feature an assortment of nature related gifts including sweatshirts, jewelry, CDs and DVDs, puppets, field guides, children's books, and a variety of items for keeping the birds happy this winter.

Admission to the event and grounds is $3.00 for adults, $1.00 for children 12 and under. No charge for members and for non-members wanting only to make purchases.
