As the world knows already, character actor Frank Grillo was recently cast as the villainous Crossbones in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier.' These days, when you're lucky enough to find yourself in a Marvel movie, it seems as though you're gearing up not just for one flick, but for two or three. (Unless you're Hugo Weaving.) So does that indicate that Grillo's Crossbones will be making an appearance in a certain mega-gigantic-super-sequel that is scheduled for a May 1, 2015 release?

It seems like everyone will be showing up in 'Captain America 2' -- aside from Chris Evans reprising his role as The Cap, we'll also be seeing Buckey Barnes transforming into "The Winter Soldier," Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Anthony Mackie as The Falcon, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Colbie Smulders as S.H.I.E.L.D. member Maria Hill, and the recently cast Frank Grillo as the villain Crossbones. (Did we forget anyone?) Now, 'The Avengers 2' will be doing the same thing by grabbing one of these (hint, hint) villainous characters for a spot in the 2015 flick.

In an interview on The Matthew Aaron Show, Grillo himself seemed to indicate that, yes, he'll be showing up in 'The Avengers 2.' Not only that, he might even show up in further Marvel films. When asked if he's making more appearances as Crossbones post-'Captain America 2,' Grillo responded, "Yeah, it's a good run."

Sure, a predictably coy response, but after Grillo hung up, Aaron noted that a "Marvel rat" had informed him Grillo will be appearing in three Marvel movies total, 'Avengers 2' included. (It's worth mentioning that Aaron was one of the first to break the news that Grillo was testing for the Crossbones role.)

One has to wonder -- if this is indeed accurate -- if Crossbones is going to be the new Loki, showing up as a villainous presence in a handful of Marvel flicks. What do you think?
