Jimmy Kimmel dedicated his monologue last Tuesday to the long painful death of Cecil a beloved, radio-collared Zimbabwean lion illegally killed in a trophy hunt by American dentist, Walter Palmer, breaking down as he suggested his audience make a donation to support the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit to “show the world that not all Americans are like this jackhole.” His monologue has had more than 7,304,064 views on YouTube since it was published 3 days ago. Here’s more about Cecil’s death from The Daily Mail:

Dr. Walter J Palmer, a dentist from Minnesota , killed the famed lion on or around July 6 Palmer admitted in a statement that he was responsible for the death of the lion but said he was unaware it was protected.

The smiling hunter has previously been fined for lying over the location of where he killed a black bear in northern Wisconsin.
