The Lapeer County Commission meeting last Thursday used the majority of it's time discussing the proposed ET Rover gas pipeline, and listening to concerned citizens about the risks associated with it.

One resident spoke about the frequency of gas pipeline accidents in Michigan and suggested the commissioners be aware of those facts. A couple of speakers were concerned with a lack of information and response from ET Rover with regards to the impact of the pipeline.

Commissioner Lenny Schneider noted that it had been eight days since he had asked the company for some answers about the project, and still had not heard from them. It remains to be seen if the representatives of the company will meet with local  authorities to answer questions about the pipeline.
