Women and children, first? Try dogs and women, first.

A South African man saved his dog and then returned to rescue his wife last weekend after their yacht got stuck in a reef and almost capsized near London.

Graham and Sheryl Anley were in the midst of a three-month ride when rough waters caused them some drama, reports a spokesman for the National Sea Rescue Institute.

Graham initially brought the couple's Jack Russell, Rosie, to shore before he went back to the boat to help his wife "whose safety line had become snagged on the steering gear."

A helicopter soon arrived to airlift all three to safety. No one was injured, although the wife's ego may have taken a beating, since her hubby saved the dog, first.
