Celebrate MI's Iconic Blueberry Lane Farms' 75th Anniversary

Blueberry Lane Farms of Otter Lake, MI has been home to the largest U-Pick blueberry farm in the area at 114 acres, complete with 22 types of herbicide and pesticide-free blueberries, for 75 years now.

Blueberry Lane Farms is Now Under New Ownership

Get ready to meet some new smiling faces at the farm as new owners have taken over for the 2023 season. However, there will still be some familiar faces (like Blueberry Bob) on the grounds, making you feel right at home.

The new owners shared with us that they are so happy to be a part of such a beautiful place, as well as a piece of Michigan’s history over the past 75 years.

75th Anniversary Festival Celebration Is Just Days Away

With the U-Pick season now in full swing, Blueberry Lane Farms will be holding their 75th anniversary celebration this weekend for the public, from July 21st through 23rd, for a weekend of entertainment, fun, and of course, blueberries.

Those who come out will enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, live music, magicians, comedians, bounce houses, nearly 50 vendors, and food and drinks all day long. Blueberry Lane Farms will also be debuting their blueberry wine for the very first time. Plus, the store will be loaded with blueberry products for sale.

There will even be a raffle benefiting the Thomas N. Smith Memorial as well with some great prizes.

The Farm Is Still Open Until Labor Day

Some of the blueberries at this farm are unique in nature, not existing anywhere in the world other than Blueberry Lane Farms. And, in the farm café, they try to go organic and local anytime that they can. Health and wellness are a primary focus in their lives.

And don’t forget the picnic areas, play areas, and public restrooms. As well as the blueberry pancakes, pies, breads, smoothies, and muffins served daily in the bakery.

Or you can check out the general store, filled with various blueberry products including blueberry syrup, blueberry lemonade, and blueberry honey.

The farm even offers handicap-accessible picking, and there are field trips available.

Hours of Operation

The farm, U-Pick fields, store, café, and kitchen are open Monday - Sunday from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. through September 5th, 2023.
