Na zdrowie! It’s National Vodka Day

The cold, damp, blustery weather outside today here in Michigan is perfect for celebrating National Vodka Day. The world’s first written mention of the drink and of the word ‘vodka’ was in 1405 in court documents in Poland. Vodka or wódka has been produced since the early Middle Ages in Poland with local traditions as varied as the production of cognac in France, or whisky in Scotland.
