Saturday, an ultra rare promo copy of The Beatles' 1962 debut single "Love Me Do" sold at auction for $17,339.31! Only 250 promo copies of the "Love Me Do" single — with "P.S. I Love You" on the B-Side and Paul McCartney's co-writing credit misspelled as "McArtney" — were pressed.

This single was "housed in its original (near mint) 'Top Pop Special Rush Copy' sleeve, the labels are shiny white, without marks and the wax is free from skips and jumps, with no signs of groove wear or scratches ."

Join me weekday mornings at 6:30 for the "Beatles Breakfast Jam."
