You had me at tequila, and the tacos are just the cherry on top so to speak.

The Lansing Taco and Tequila Festival happens one day only, this Saturday, July 24th at Jackson Field, home of the Lansing Lugnuts. Hours are noon to 7:00 PM for VIP ticket holders, and 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM for General Admission. FYI, VIP tickets are sold out, but you can still get General Admission as of now. GA tickets will run you $35, and come with the following,

  • Three taco samples
  • Five drink samples
  • Souvenir cup

Of course guests can purchase additional drink and food tickets at the event. Guests can enjoy a choice of fish tacos, short rib tacos, beef tacos, steak tacos and chicken tacos (just to name a few).

As far as tequila goes, prepare to be amazed and buzzed. You will have a hard time deciding between Cenote, Patron, 1800 Tequila, Don Julio, Tres Agaves, Mi Campo, and more. That is just a taste (so to speak) of some of the available tequilas. Each brand will offer a Blanco, Silver and Reposado choice (some brands do have additional options). If that means nothing to you - take my advice and always order Blanco.

Between this and the upcoming Michigan Macaroni and Cheese Festival this fall, I am pumped. If you are going to go head to the event this weekend, plan on having a designated driver. As a matter of fact, designated driver tickets are available for only $25 - definitely worth it.

Cheers!
