During their 40 years as a band, Cheap Trick have been on the road more than they have been at home. And 2014 looks to be shaping up in much the same way.

The members of Cheap Trick have fired back against a lawsuit that was recently filed by their exiled drummer, Bun E. Carlos.

Long-simmering tensions between the current members of Cheap Trick and the band's absentee drummer, Bun E. Carlos, appear to be boiling over into the courtroom.

Two years after the stage collapsed in the middle of Cheap Trick's concert at the Ottawa Bluesfest, the band has filed suit against multiple parties involved in the festival, seeking $1 million in compensation.

Their third album kept the pop shine but added some grit to the mix.

Cheap Trick‘s Rick Nielsen isn’t ready to be relegated to relic status just yet. Still, fans will be happy to know that the man, his legendary band — and yes, all those guitars — are the subject of a special exhibit at the Burpee Museum Of Natural History, located in the band’s hometown of Rockford, Ill.
