Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins had the pleasure of inducting Canadian icons Rush into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Thursday night, and shortly after the ceremony Grohl was still buzzing about the experience. He and Hawkins not only had a chance to give the induction speech, but they also performed a rather memorable version of the '2112 Overture' with the power trio, while decked out in '70s long haired whigs and kimonos.

Rush Perform With Foo Fighters at Hall of Fame Induction

Rush were the runaway stars at the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony last night. And one of the show's highlights found the trio onstage with two members of the Foo Fighters, who performed the final minute of '2112''s classic 'Overture' with the newly inducted band. Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins even dressed in vintage Rush outfits  -- Grohl as Alex Lifeson and Hawkins as Neil Peart -- complete with wigs.

Dave Grohl Contemplated Nirvana Performance With PJ Harvey on Vocals

Dave Grohl has discussed his reluctance in the past to approach playing Nirvana music, even after a couple of decades removed from the height of their success. However, he did state that reuniting with Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear for the 'Sound City Players' shows did present some interesting conversations.
