A space heater started a small blaze Friday morning at the ballpark, but workers believed they had put it out. They returned to find the space in flames, Plainfield Township Fire Chief David Peterson said.

Update: Fire Chief Terry Kluge said the PIX Theatre appears to have suffered minor smoke and water damage. The fire is under investigation, however, the fire department has been unable to go into the buildings to do a full assessment.
