Seattle News Outlet Unveils Previously Unpublished Photos of Kurt Cobain Death Scene

In the world of rock, the date April 5 is a solemn one, as it marks the anniversary of the death of both Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Alice in Chains singer Layne Staley. Now, 19 years after Cobain's death, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer online newspaper has unveiled a number of never-before-published photos of Cobain's death scene have been revealed, some of which show Cobain being carried out of his home by medical workers.

Dave Grohl Contemplated Nirvana Performance With PJ Harvey on Vocals

Dave Grohl has discussed his reluctance in the past to approach playing Nirvana music, even after a couple of decades removed from the height of their success. However, he did state that reuniting with Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear for the 'Sound City Players' shows did present some interesting conversations. Grohl revealed that one recent scenario involved an invite to PJ Harvey to see if she might be interested in joining them on a performance of a Nirvana track.

Paul McCartney, Nirvana Song ‘Cut Me Some Slack’ Available for Sale

Paul McCartney's collaboration with the surviving members of Nirvana wasn't as unlikely as it seemed on Wednesday night. Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic joined the Beatle to close the 12-12-12 concert at Madison Square Garden. They sang 'Cut Me Some Slack,' which they wrote and recorded for Grohl's upcoming 'Sound City' documentary soundtrack, and the studio version is now available for sale on iTunes.
