One of the best selling rock and roll concert albums of all time was being recorded at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco today June 13, 1975. Peter Frampton played the first of two shows that were used to make his #1, multi-million selling double LP collection “Frampton Comes Alive”.

It took Don Felder a few decades to get his solo career back on track, but now that he's on the road in support of his new record 'Road to Forever,' he isn't in any rush to head back home.

As we previously reported, Peter Frampton is joining the circus this summer -- the Guitar Circus, that is.

Peter Kenneth Frampton was born 63 years ago in Bromley, England.  Peter became interested in music when he was seven years old. After finding his grandmother's ukulele in the attic, he taught himself to play it. Later on he taught himself to play guitar and piano as well. At age eight he started taking classical music lesson and the rest is rock and roll history.

January 16,1976  the day Peter Frampton's career had a turning point big time with the release of "Frampton Comes Alive". The double LP went to number one spot on the album charts and stayed there for 17 weeks.

David Bowie's 1987 album 'Never Let Me Down' is considered to be among his worst, but for Peter Frampton, its importance can not be overstated. In a new interview, he credits his time with Bowie, both on the album and its accompanying tour, for helping revive his career.

Peter Frampton loves guitar music, obviously, and he'll get a chance to explore his passion further during the 'Guitar Circus' tour he has planned for 2013. Billboard reports that the musician will welcome several guitar greats, including the legendary B.B. King, during the summer run.

The New York Times reports that Peter Frampton has been reunited with the Gibson electric guitar he played on “Frampton Comes Alive,” three decades years after it was presumed destroyed in a plane crash.

Peter Frampton is the latest star to take legal action against a record company over payments for digital sales.  Nashville's "Tennessean" says thatPeter filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group last Friday.
