The Beatles first U.S. album, "Introducing... The Beatles," just sold on eBay for $15,000. The vinyl LP on Vee Jay Records was released in 1963 about 10 days before the group's Capitol Records debut, "Meet the Beatles."

The Beatles Go Satellite 45 Years Ago

On June 25, 1967, the BBC in London, England put on the world's first global satellite television broadcast. The program was called Our World, and consisted of five different segments from five continents, very high tech in 1967.

One of the segments featured The Beatles, 40 million people saw The Beatles perform "All You Need is Love," live via satellite as part of the TV global link.

The Beatles' first U.S. concert was a 12-song set at the Washington Coliseum on February 11, 1964 before a crowd of over 8,000. The performance was shot with an eight-camera crew and shown one month later via closed-circuit broadcast in movie theaters across America.
