The surviving former Faces have dithered about getting back together for years, and even now that their ranks have been further thinned by the death of Ian McLagan, it seems that progress toward a reunion is slow.
One of my favorite music artist Ronnie Lane would have been 68 years old today. Ronnie died in June of 1997 from multiple sclerosis. Ronnie came on the scene with the band Small Faces. Ronnie Lane along with Steve Marriott co-founded the Small Faces. Marriott would leave the band to start Humble Pie. Ronnie would change the name of group to The Faces
Rod Stewart said it was happening, then Ian McLagan said it wasn't -- but according to Faces drummer Kenney Jones, we could actually see the band's long-awaited reunion with Stewart come together in 2015.
Ian McLagan, still apparently steamed over a series of Rod Stewart no-shows, says he's not interested in putting the Faces back together again in 2015, even though Stewart finally seems to be coming around.
