Imagine Peace Tower is an outdoor work of art by Yoko Ono in memory of John Lennon on Viðey Island in Reykjavík, Iceland. It’s a tall shimmering tower of light that appears every year and is visible from John’s birthday on October 9 until today: the anniversary of his death on December 8.

John Lennon and Yoko Ono recorded “Give Peace A Chance” 46 years ago today in Room 1742 at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal during their second Bed-In For Peace (May 26, 1969 - June 2, 1969). Their first bed-in was staged during their honeymoon at the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam.
