The Spring Equinox and Red-winged Blackbirds Have Arrived [VIDEO]

Red-winged Blackbirds arrived at the farm last week but with the first day of spring happening today it’s official: we can finally say goodbye to winter. I look forward to their early arrival every year, the males’ red-and-yellow shoulder patches and song that sounds like oak-a-lee. They’re one of my favorite things.
