Look up to the heavens tonight and if you’re lucky you’ll see the Full “Wolf” Moon. The naming of full moons is credited to Native American tribes who kept track of the seasons by giving distinctive names to the glowing orb. The tribes that lived here in the Great Lakes region, January’s moon was also known as the Snow Moon or the Cold Moon.

According to the “Farmer’s Almanac” during cold and deep snows of midwinter, the wolf packs howled hungrily outside Indian villages. Head outside tonight and listen plus make sure to do some howling yourself.
