1st Prison Sentence In Alleged Plot to Kidnap Gov. Whitmer
The first sentence will be announced soon for 1 of the 6 men involved in the alleged plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
According to WOOD, the other 5 defendants should be highly concerned regarding when they get sentenced since the first defendant has shared extraordinary details about the plot.
Ty Garbin is one of the 6 men who were involved in the alleged plot to kidnap the governor and was the first to cave into police which also put a bullseye on his back.
Garbin is looking at 9 years in prison if found guilty. Had he not assisted the police and prosecutors Garbin's sentence could have been much longer.
Prosecutors are asking the judge to keep in consideration how many blanks Garbin filled in that the government informant was not around to here or record when determining his sentence.
25-year-old Garbin who is normally an airplane mechanic has been the only 1 of the 6 men charged to actually plead guilty. The other 5 are still awaiting their trials to begin.
Another thing that will help Garbin is the fact that confirmed the plot was real and not just some smack talk from a bunch of rednecks. This also will throw out any chance the other defendants can say they were entrapped by informants.
I wouldn't be surprised if the judge gives Garbin more than 9 years due to the fact he allowed the training for the plot to occur on his property near Luther, Michigan. They went to the trouble of actually creating a house to mimic Whitmer's vacation home so they could run real life drills to prepare for the alleged plot.
