Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show! Weren’t The 70’s Great? Uhh …

OK, so we're getting a little silly today on the Vault.  Who doesn't get a kick out of "Cover Of The Rolling Stone" every now and again?  Dr. Hook was a musical comedy act that had just enough talent for singing and playing to pull it off ... and quite successfully.  Today's track, along with "Sylvia's Mother" let the band guide through most of the 1970's, even without any more big hits.  And yes they finally did make that cover, although in caricature:
