Falcons Sign Lapeer Native Jake Long

The Atlanta Falcons signed offensive tackle Jake Long to a one-year deal. Coach Dan Quinn does not expect Jake to be ready to play against the New York Giants on Sunday. He wants to give him time to recover after a second ACL surgery on his right knee. Jake was the No. 1 Draft Pick in 2008. He was the first player in the history of Lapeer East High School to earn all-state “Dream Team” honors in football from the Detroit News.
