The Lapeer County Office of Emergency Management will host the "7th Annual Family Preparedness Day" on Saturday, September 13th to help Lapeer County residents prepare for the first 72 hours of challenges after a large scale emergency or disaster. Would you be ready?

There are numerous emergencies that could affect you, like winter storms, tornado's, power outages, or hazardous material spills. In addition to the preparation for these things, you will also learn about fire extinguisher use and understanding how the 911 system works.

The event runs from 9am to 1pm on September 13th on the courthouse lawn in downtown Lapeer. It is a day the entire family can learn what to do to be prepared for an emergency.
