In 1981, Yes lead singer Jon Anderson teamed up with Greek keyboard wiz Vangelis and made one of the most unusual albums in awhile, The Friends of Mr. Cairo.  But, being 1981, it's off-beat nature fit perfectly into the budding eighties "anything goes" musical atmosphere.  It was actually a big hit in Canada and didn't do too bad here.  It got plenty of airplay so you may recall it, with all it's gangster film sound effects and voice impressions of 30's & 40's movie stars, it does make for a welcome change of pace.  Hear it around 5:20pm, either on the radio or on-line.
