Could this be the beginning of the end for Lapeer County State Representative Todd Courser? A resolution introduced Wednesday night in Lansing and quickly approved in a voice vote created a new Michigan House committee to “examine the qualifications” of both Courser and Representative Cindy Gamrat and “determine their fitness to continue holding the high office to which they were elected.” As members voted on the resolution, Courser sat on the House floor. He declined comment after session. The House Business Office is investigating whether state resources were misused by Courser and Gamrat in an attempt to cover-up and distract from an extra-marital affair.
