Flint Water Distribution Sites To Close Over Labor Day Weekend

Flint residents are being encouraged to pick up water now, because they won't have access to the water distribution sites this weekend.

The sites are not closing permanently, but they will be closed for the entire holiday weekend.  Community water distribution sites will close at 6 on Saturday, and won't reopen again until Noon on Tuesday.

Officials say they have plenty of supplies to handle any unexpected rush that this may cause.

Flint residents will be able to pick up bottled water, replacement filter cartridges, and water testing kits leading up to the closure, and again after the site is reopened.
