Genesee County School Receives US Department of Education Blue Ribbon School Award [VIDEO]

One school in our area has received a very high honor from the U.S. Department of Education.

Gaines Elementary of Swartz Creek Schools was awarded the National Blue Ribbon Schools award. According to the U.S. Department of Education, Gaines Elementary has high learning standards, strong attendance, excellent graduation rates, and has closed the achievement gap between race and socioeconomic areas.
