Imlay City Fire Leaves 3 Kids Dead, 4 Others Injured

Heartbreaking news out of Imlay City today (2/26) as three kids were killed in a house fire along with four other family members that were injured.

According to ABC12, officers and fire crews were called to a mobile home in Imlay City shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday and found it engulfed in flames. A 3-year-old girl and two boys, ages 5 and 6, died. Two adults, a baby girl and an 18-month old boy were taken to hospitals in critical condition.

It's unclear what caused the fire but it's said the family was having issues with their furnace prior to the fire so it could have been the furnace itself or possibly an electric heater or something like that.

My heart literally hurts for this family that lost so much in what must have been a matter of minutes if that. Imlay City is my hometown so my thoughts are with the family and the community who are dealing with this devastating loss.
