Is Chick-Fil-A ever going to open a new restaurant in Rochester Hills? That's a question residents have been wanting to know the answer to since it was first proposed in 2021.

In 2021 there were talks of a Chik-Fil-A drive-through restaurant development plan at 3200 S. Rochester Road. The city talked with the company about their plan but apparently, there were some concerns. One of those concerns was increased traffic in the area.

One thing Chick-Fil-A can guarantee is long lines at their drive-through. This can be a traffic nightmare for residents especially since the plan was to build this new Chick-Fil-A next to a neighborhood. People are diehards for their food and will wait in line as long as it takes.

Late last year we told you about a new Chick-Fil-A that was opening in Monroe. People were freaking out and waited for hours in line just to be the first to get a taste. Some people waited in line for six hours.

As of right now, the plan is still up in the air.

According to The Oakland County Press, the developer currently has a list of questions from the Michigan Department of Transportation that need to be answered. Once those traffic questions are answered, the developer can return to the city to address any other concerns.

Chick-Fil-A has just over a dozen restaurants in Southeast Michigan with more expected in the next few years.
