It is officially spring in Michigan, however, snow is in the forecast for the Great Lakes State.

The fact that Michigan has four seasons is awesome, however, celebrating all of them in one week is not.

Genesee County and Lapeer County residents will see three to five inches of snow on Friday, March, 22nd, 2024.

According to the Weather Channel, expect snow showers early, with steadier snow developing late in the day.

The amount of snow expected is not a major threat, just a major bummer. Most Michiganders are ready to be outside, it's spring and we want to start working in our yards and taking walks, without wearing bulky winter coats and gloves.

Unfortunately, the extended Michigan forecast is calling for even more snow showers on the following days,

  • Monday, March 25th, a mixture of rain and snow is expected.
  • Friday, March 29th, a mixture of rain and snow showers is expected.
  • Tuesday, April 2nd, more of the same, rain and snow showers.

However, you know what they say about the weather in Michigan, wait a minute and it will change.

Looking ahead to the summer months in Michigan, the Farmer's Almanac is predicting a muggy and stormy summer.

The first day of summer is Thursday, June 20th, 2024. We don't know if snow is in the forecast, but we will keep you posted.
