Lower Michigan is under a winter weather advisory from midnight tonight until 4 pm tomorrow. The affected areas locally include Midland, Bay, Huron, Saginaw, Tuscola, Sanilac, Shiawassee, Genesee, Lapeer, and St. Clair Counties.

According to The Weather Channel, snow will develop toward the I-69 corridor after midnight with an ugly sleet and freezing rain combo.

The wintry mix then migrates northward toward the Tri-Cities and northern Thumb during the day while becoming primarily freezing rain toward I-69 until temperatures warm above freezing mid to late afternoon.

Warmer Temps and Rain for Michigan

On Tuesday, we'll experience rain and snow which will eventually turn into just rain.

Things will warm up to 40 on Wednesday with rain throughout the day. We're going to see pretty much the same thing on Thursday with temps warming up to 44.

While it's going to be pretty nasty tomorrow, we should lose a significant amount of snow with all the rain and warmer temps.
